About the event

Otto Hus is a carefully crafted residential project designed to complement the character of Trøjborg, Aarhus. With its pitched roof and five-storey structure, the building captures the essence of Scandinavian tradition while offering a fresh interpretation of urban living.

Otto Hus is a five-storey apartment building located in
the picturesque district of Trøjborg, Aarhus. Featuring a
pitched roof, the design seamlessly integrates into the
historic charm of the surrounding architecture while
offering a fresh, modern perspective. Positioned to
overlook the sea, Otto Hus combines breathtaking views
with a strong sense of place, connecting residents to both
nature and the urban fabric. Technically resolved to the
highest standards, the building balances tradition and
innovation, using materials and forms that echo the
character of the area. Otto Hus stands as a harmonious
blend of contemporary living and timeless architectural
values, embodying the spirit of Trøjborg’s unique setting.

The floor plan is designed for efficiency and functionality, featuring a balanced layout with central circulation cores housing staircases and elevators. Apartments are symmetrically organized around these cores, with compact yet functional layouts and well-defined zones for living and sleeping. Bathrooms and kitchens are centrally located to streamline plumbing, while windows on both facades ensure ample natural light and ventilation. The structural grid system ensures stability and seamlessly integrates with the architectural surroundings.
